I guarentee I'm going to get flack for this but

That was toxic. As. Fuck. There is nothing healthy or okay about how Haruki treated Yuuchi. It was sexual coercion, sexual abuse, and so many other horrible things that have really made me reevaluate this vn as a whole. I'm aware the Shoichi route was similar and eventually addressed that toxicity but I am VERY worried that, given the fact WOTB claims this is a short route, that won't be handled here. And to those of you defending this, a sentient being has innate value that makes using them the way Haruki used Yuuchi wrong.

Figured id leave my peace. Honestly people forget so much about his route to complain this bad. Like honestly have you read it? At all? "Oh it just went 0 to 100" no it did not. Your oblivious. Haruki has been slowly and i mean slowly coming to trust yuu and has been showing intrest and attraction. Hes done things out of his way for yuu. Sure he acts like hes not doing it for yuu but if you actually read he is. The sexual tension between the 2 has been building forever so lets be honest its not a surprise. The only surprise is yuu hasnt jumped him sooner. The entire route has been building up to this turning point. This is one of the major points. But it was built up to and by no means is a surprise if youve even bothered to pay attention to how their relationship has been unfolding. And regarding "the rest of the story has been pushed to the back ground". YES Haruki is not part of the group and he doesnt get along with them. He doesn't get along with almost anyone. If he did hang out with them it'd ruin his whole character. He trust yuu. Not the others. He liked yuu not them. You cant have the story with them in it because yuu wants every second with haruki. Now "this isn't yuu. He's not like that" THE WHOLE POINT OF HARUKIS ROUTE IS HOW DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT YUU IS WHEN HE SEES A HARSHER SIDE. Yuu stops caring as much. What he did at the school. Yeah hes pent up. Horny. And you know what he doesn't care anymore because people have been misjudging haruki so he doesnt care what people think anymore because its been misguided and flat out wrong. His character has changed from all the other routes. 

Sorry for the rant but im annoyed at all these people complaining for stuff they didnt pay attention too when the route has taken the time to develop this but when it shows up people wanna act like none of that happened and its the same yuu from the other routes. 

It's a bit concerning to see some people don't see the issue with the current route update, and dismiss the critiques I've seen here.

The scene itself, it's hot, it really is, even I can admit that. The thing is, it feels like Yuu's character got assassinated somewhat, and didn't stay consistent with whom he really is. Amongst the other routes, Yuu has always been the conservative type when it comes to showing his sexuality, he may oogle, he may peak, he may glance to check someone out, but he would never do something so brazenly as give someone oral in public, in their school of all places.

Yes, he may be dense and slow at times, impulsive at worst, as seen in Shoichi's route where he kissed him infront of his house without taking into consideration if his dad was even there. But this way far beyond that. He did something so risky, borderline expulsion worthy, in a school, where his entire career, his future, his reputation, not just among students, but his friends, hangs in the balance. Which we have seen, he really deeply cares about, he wants to go pro, he cares alot of his friends, and especially his family, and certainly wouldn't want his sexuality to be outed, worse, with an act like that. And, going back to Shoichi's Route, it's been established that he doesn't like to be pushed to do something he doesn't want. And that was in private with him. What more in public, in school, just barely out of sight from the rest. (Yes he did mention this would've been something that we would've been disgusted by, something he would've hated, something he wouldn't let happen to himself, and yet he still went with it. It feels so, disingenuous. Especially after building up what kind of person Yuu is)

Honestly, throughout the entire route, I've felt as if everything else in the story got a backseat. His family, his friends, his passion for tennis, his mental problems. Everything was pushed aside, so that the focus would be entirely over him gushing and being obsessed by Haruki. (Which, I don't take issue as much, I do find it cute, just as long as everything else in the story didn't also get shafted for it. Because everything seems to happen "behind the scenes" and just delivered to us through exposition and dialogue. It would be nice if we get to see the other stuff we see from the other routes as well, but this time with we get a few unique interactions because it's in Haruki's route.

All in all, I still like the route (maybe a bit less now, but still leaning towards like at least), but I do hope they do make it like in Shoichi's route, where he slowly realizes that it's not something he actually wanted, and has a talk with Haruki about it. Or at the very least, have him ask for his consent first before he does it, or let him lead like in Shoichi's. Because yes, Haruki is different from the other characters, but as it stands, the relationship looks very toxic, because if everything went horribly wrong, Yuu is the one who stands to lose the most from it.

TLDR: Yuu's Character feels assassinated throughout this entire route, I like the route still, but I hope they would keep some aspects of Yuu's personality and important character key points intact throughout the route, and also make it so that there's a revelation in a later update where he realizes its something he didn't like/let him take it at his pace and have a talk with Haruki. 

PS. The Roughness of the scene doesn't need to be lessened or cut out entirely, like I said, it was hot, and I understand why the route took that direction. But at the very least, give Yuu back his character and personality, the one we've come to love. And give the route it's key moments for Yuu's development and not just make it about him being with Haruki

Okay I was compelled to make a comment since I've heard of the backlash to this update and I just have to say. I think most people complaining are just full of shit. (yes I'm exaggerating, yes your opinion to the art piece is valid, I'm just venting)

Haruki ISN'T like the other characters, SPECIALLY not like the other route characters. He's way more down to earth, he's a grown ass gay man that isn't afraid of using slurs because he knows he can use them. And most of all he NNNNNEEVER gave people any tells of him being a lovey dovey bleeding heart who'd fold at any genuine sign of affection.

Haruki. is. rauchy. Every single time he's caught Yuuichi oggling at his body, and this was multiple times, all he had to give in return was tease him with the most SHIT EATING GRIN imaginable. 
The INTRO to his route is a kiss, yes, a FORCEFUL kiss literally meant to PISS SOMEONE ELSE OFF. 

So when people get mad at Haruki literally and metaphorically breaking Yuu's repressed sexuality with his huge dick down his throat all I'm really hearing is that people were expecting Shoichi 2.0 
Like you knew what you were signing up for since the start, Haruki  had SO many tells that sex to him would come more naturally than ROMANCE, with the PAINSTAKINGLY slow development of their FRIENDSHIP. 
If you were disappointed because of that and expecting something sweeter like a confession, I'm sorry to say you were probably expecting to "fix him" and failed by the first sex scene. Haruki never saw Yuu's infatuation as actual love, but as sexual attraction.
And even if he did see the love behind it, he'd shove that shit down and be in denial about it and pretend its just sexual.

Like, Haruki presents an interesting, new, and fresh dynamic to a story that already has three lengthy routes about friends to lovers with different kinds of sweetness and love right off the gate. If it's not for you, then that's okay! There's no problem with that, but I sorely hope that his route remains what it is despite the backlash. Because that's what it is at its core, and I don't even DOUBT there will be an eventual romance, but that will only come AFTER the rauchiness, because if Haruki will break through Yuu's sexuality, Yuu will have to break through Haruki's heart. 

And again, that's not really FIXING him as much as it is bringing out MORE out of him beyond sex. THAT'S the real romantic value here. 

I have to wonder about the patreon comments because this update was the best so far for me. I've watched people play the other character's routes and the writing is good but it was Haruki that made me buy the game for myself.  There may be spoilers in my comment. 

Considering what the other routes have happening them, especially Shoichi,  I feel like What Haruki did wasn't too much.

Remember that there was a long buildup to this. The past update had me squealing and blushing for how cute they looked next to each other. The emotions Yuu felt leading up to this, the drive to push through all the smack talk to get closer to Haru, going out of his way  to make time to see him, doing anything and everything to get to know him better....you can see the attraction. Especially in that moment at the end of last patch. Definite spoilers ahead. 

With Sho you can see how its a little awkward to Yuu being as they've known each other all their lives, it took getting used to and being overwhelmed from Sho's forwardness is very different from how Yuu pursues Haru. This route shows Yuu wanting it before having any confession. Growing more comfortable around him and realizing his feelings first before anything happened.  

The warmth and sweetness that built up to this, the patience that Yuu showed to learn how to interact with Haru up til now really payed off in this patch. 

I can't see Yuu doing a 180 and feeling uncomfortable after the fact cause he already felt thirsty for Haru before it happened. Its okay to want that control taken.  This route is a very healthy route compared to the drama and pain in the others, so I can see Sho having some beef if it comes to that.  I just hope that going forward haru is more touchy feely. I look forward to the drama with Sho and how they maneuver that bit. So unbelievably exited for next update! HaruXYuu is my OTP!
